Slow Down! 02:24
Slow Down! Slow Down! I was driving down the street, A stop sign I did meet, It had a lot of gall, and no manners at all, It's been givin' me heavy feet Could've been purple, But I would still be seeing red, 'Cuz I like circles, and this square's got Too many sides, telling me how to ride, It's getting under my hide, In spite I roll, roll, roll and I run, run, run, 'Til I stop having fun, *oink* *oink* Piggy's got a gun! Slow Down! Slow Down! No I don't like Rosetta, It's strictly business, I'm tellin' ya, This ain't a fling, it's a computer thing, I heard Rosie gets it done, Curse of an Anglo, it's just too easy to get by, I want to learn banjo, and speak French and Travel the globe, fix shit on my own, build myself a home, Instead I drink the fridge dry and get high, high, high, 'Til I stop feeling alive, *blah* Just getting by Slow Down! Slow Down! Slow Down! Slow Down! Twenty-two unread emails, Everyday, it never fails, I'll go crazy if I answer everybody, But I need to make the sales, Gotta get money, you know I've got a family to feed, It's got me running, I can't sleep, 'cuz a Money tree is what I need, root of all evil indeed, But now my back knots tie and my wife asks why and the babies cry, *waah* I'll rest when I die *choke* Slow Down! Slow Down! Slow down, you know you wanna, But ya never got the time, Slow Down, and unwind, recharge your batteries....

In My Hands 04:45
I got the whole world in my hands, I got the whole wide world in my hands, I got the whole world in my hands, I got the whole world in my hands... I got.... World wide web, google earth, your facebook profile, wikipedia... Hollywood cinema, youtube how-to's, home-made sex tapes, porn stars... 7-day forecast, highway webcams, suicide car-bombers, hurricanes... Poutine & paella, sushi & salsa, burgers & dog dick, corn starch... 2-for-1 pizza, t-shirts in my 12-pack, 24-7, bottled water... Styrofoam & plastic, aluminum & paper, silicone & copper, paraffin... Asphalt & rubber, leather & gasoline, steel & bio-diesel, gasoline... Acetaminophen, caffeine & ethanol, nicotine & cocaine, crack & meth... All of my money, all of my credit, my family's debt, the whole future... Contaminated water, depleting ozone, leaking radiation, city smog... Mineral extraction, deforestation, desertification, pipelines... Sprawling suburbia, congested traffic, fast food dependence, superstores... Type 2 diabetes, chronic inflammation, all of the cancer, a heart attack... Starving Africans, workaholic Asians, fat Caucasians, bombed Arabs... Blood of the innocent, blood of the guilty, too much world, the whole world... Hope for tomorrow, love for my neighbour, trust in Nature, second chance... Eyes for believing, ears for the moment, lips for the truth, my own world... Mind for imagination, hands for creation, feet for transportation, a small world... Heart for action, rage against the system, fighting will for freedom, resistance... Organic local farmer food, local people fixing shoes, local bakers, butchers, brewers, community... I don't want the whole world, love local FUCK global, the world's too big to be in our hands, the world's too big to be in our hands

I've got a friend, he's a great guy, One of my favourites from the start, He's often not wearing much, Or naked at your party But, some people freak out, Like they've never seen someone with their dick out, And say, "hey, this ain't the place, man", As if it's worse than watching porn in your mother's basement It's sad that it's bad to have what everyone's always had, A shameless body, but you think yours is shoddy, 'Cuz you ain't a photoshopped magazine-cover hottie Officer, please don't shoot, it's just a birthday suit, It's plain to see he's got nothing, except a skin flute, Why must he hide his hide, scared you might see what's inside, Scared his swinging freedom might bruise your power-swaddled pride Well screw you, I'm coming unglued, It's just so wrong to say it's wrong to be in the nude, Are you going to flip if I skinny-dip? Are you afraid to see my balls, or just the tip? Oh don't you scorn, this ain't porn, This is exactly the fuckin' way I was born, Too far it's gone, I'm joining Shawn! And I'll be naked at your party before long, This is the Naked Party Song

Oh where was I? Where do I keep going, Out into my imagination? I never thought that Nature's choice, Would bring me back my voice, But here I sing, I return home from my imagination, Must end this conversation I'm building a fort, don't care if you know it, Ya, all that garbage, I'm going to tow it away from the landfill, A fuckin' cabin I'll build... but I don't know how to build Me and Roy been getting out of the way, It ain't safe to play today, I forgot some beer somewhere on the way, But still we play it anyway, Well I say, if you look at yourself, You're either guilty, lucky, or greedy, greedy... (etc) I learned 'haste makes waste' at the Sunshine Cafe, The best two-dollar coffee in town, Where you care for your fellow townsfolk, Just like you care about yourself, You tap into unity, the web holding us together, Spanning far, far out of sight, Bright as the day in the middle of the night I'm baffled and sick of the “True North, Strong and Free”, We see no rise, we be losing our glory, Oops, I'm sorry... but I'm not fuckin' sorry I'm playing along, it's all just a game, Planning on staying insane, “If voting changed anything it'd be illegal”, Said Vagabond Josh, Well I say, if you look at yourself, You're either guilty, lucky, or greedy, greedy... (etc) More, more, more, more, more, more, more, more... (etc) All my friends drag me in, I drag them, and we drown together (x5) Oh where was I? Where do I keep going, Out into my imagination? I never thought that Nature's choice, Would bring me back my voice, But here I sing, I return home from my imagination, Must end this conversation

about

Raw recorded, so it always sounds aaaalmost the best with headphones and the lyrics. The best, obviously, is echoing off the mountains across the ridge, amplified by lungs and hands alone, a Play Now! instead of a playback, accompanied by the voices of your friends, only distorted by the wind, pine branches, and the crackling of your liberated campfire... far from Civil Captivity.

about

Fort Mutiny British Columbia

Fort Mutiny is a vision. Not a flawless utopia, but a lawless tribe of defiant free-spirits, brewing up a more natural life. How could such a dream be kindled? Music is a great place to start: uncensored honesty, fueled by personal journals, put to all-acoustic instrumentation. It doesn't matter who wrote it. What matters is that, if you belong at Fort Mutiny, these tunes may help you get there. ... more
